Born in Belfast in 1957, my twin sister arrived the same day. I went to Edinburgh University studying French & European Institutions. The 3rd year was spent in France as an English Assistante.
On the 9th August 1979 I was driving the car I had a serious car accident. After being in a coma for 21 days I regained consciousness and thought that I was 11 years old (I was 21), I didn’t recognize family, places, home.
I married my French boyfriend in 1983 and went to live in the Dordogne. My daughter was born in France in 1985. I split up with my husband in 1987 and returned to Belfast for a couple of years moving to London with my daughter and Dutch boyfriend in 1989.
We were married in London in 1990 and he helped me win my court case in Bordeaux when the French man tried to take my little girl away. My daughter is now 22 – a beautiful girl and model working in London, Paris, Greece.
My husband and I moved to Italy in 2004 and we are setting up a wine business there. We have bought a small piece of land in Liguria which we are cultivating – that certainly keeps us busy and life goes on.
Just on a wee break on a walk near Montemarcello the other day. Isn't lovely!

Hello Susan,
I have read your stories and find them raw and intriguing. I want/need to know more about their motivation - perhaps you should include that too. Anyway, here is the link for Mslexia, the magazine I mentioned, and which I think is the right place for your kind of writing. http://www.mslexia.co.uk/ My computer has just died, but when I get it back I will send you one of my stories that was published in Mslexia.
